Are your stoves certified for use in normal houses?
Our stoves do not require approval for their intended use in alternative housing.
Trailerable tinyhomes, housetrucks, yurts, houseboats, studios are not subject to the same regulations as conventional dwellings. To install in a conventional dwelling, councils normally require an inspection and the installation must be to NZ standard. It is important to specify to the council that these are NOT wood burning heaters- They are wood burning Cook Stoves. as such they are exempt from the NZ clean air act 1995

How do I purchase a stove from you?
Select the model of Blazing Stove that suits your needs,contact us for payment details, If you require a flue kit, measure your floor to ceiling height and your floor to roof peak height. the approx roof angle is always useful too. I can make up a kit to suit your custom installation. email you to confirm details of your order and the total price including freight and your order will be completed and dispatched normally within 14 days.

Do you Provide flue kits?
Yes! - if required we supply a high quality stainless steel flue kit with all accessories to suit each highly individual installation. price will be confirmed upon receipt of your measurements

Will my new fire burn safely overnight?
all our fires are built to comply with the rigorous safety standards demanded by local authorities and are safe if installed correctly.

Can I have a Blazing Stove in other colours?
the lower temperature parts of the stoves can be painted in other colours. The heat shields and the air intake vent.

A wee bit of history
The first recycled gas bottle stove I made was over 20 years ago now, living in a tiny housetruck as I traveled through the South Island of New Zealand I had no heating whatsoever and very little money.
I befriended a workshop owner on the Westcoast and spent a day making the stove you see here.
That first stove is still in my old truck and is in daily use each winter.
Not much has changed at Blazing Stoves since then. I still make the best stoves I can at the lowest price possible and I always strive to improve the design in any way that I can

Is inspired by the Dover cookstove. this ubiquitous kitchen appliance was the heart of the home in most pioneer cottages in the early 19th century. The full size model comes with wet back water heater. both have bricked fire boxes and cast iron grates and pot liftouts
